Vice President Dick Cheney doesn’t think that blunders on Iraq have damaged the administration’s credibility in an interview with Wolf Blitzer on Wednesday. Right, which is why the Democrats are in power now rather than the Republicans.

Come on, Mr. Vice President. Everybody but you is looking at reality. While you’re busy cheerleading for the administration, everybody from field commanders to some members of your own party in Congress are calling for a change of strategy in Iraq. Even the President admits they need a new plan, and I’m sure he now realizes the old plan led to the increasing lame-duckiness of his tenure.

I just had to rant on this a little. If there’s anyone I’m happier to see leave the White House in January 2009 than Bush, it’s Cheney.
