I’m interested in a discussion of the “hide sensitive content” function here. There’s a stronger culture of it on Mastodon than other places, and I am wary of blundering into a new space and ignoring its norms. On the other hand, I’m leery of putting CWs on all discussions of mental illness and related issues. It fights with my desire to de-stigmatize that topic. Yet some here seem to prefer CWs on all such discussions. Thoughts?

@Popehat Mastodon is based on local moderation by the server admins and mods. The server rules should prevail. This kind of "global culture" thing about content warnings isn't a thing, even according to Mastodon's creator, though some people have tried to make it one. It can't be "it's moderated server by server" and then try to impose global rules by some ever-changing group that has appointed themselves.
