@Popehat Mastodon is based on local moderation by the server admins and mods. The server rules should prevail. This kind of "global culture" thing about content warnings isn't a thing, even according to Mastodon's creator, though some people have tried to make it one. It can't be "it's moderated server by server" and then try to impose global rules by some ever-changing group that has appointed themselves.

@Popehat I think this is why Josh calls it an HOA. There are numerous controls one can use to hide sensitive content and mute and block options if that isn't working. There are also facilities to report posts and users and the mods can block users and whole domains if needed. I think it has the potential to work, people just need to give it an opportunity.
