Looks like I’ve finally outgrown shared hosting, thanks to having the #ActivityPub plugin installed on my #WordPress install. For anyone not on shared hosting, what size droplet (or equivalent concept in AWS, GCP, Azure, etc) are you using to support a WordPress install with ActivityPub / #Mastodon integration?

@code_wyrm000@c.im FWIW, you can modify WordPress to exclude the social stuff from the homepage if it’s in a certain category. This is what I do. Exclude the social category and then the homepage is reserved for the more serious stuff and it’s not flooded with social posts. I created a category page for the social feed if people want to see that.

Looking at recent resource usage for this blog with #ActivityPub and #WPFriends enabled, and I think it’s time to migrate to a better solution. I’ve been wanting to learn more cloud, so this would give me an excuse.
Hmm. Indieweb post kinds isn’t working so I can’t write replies (easily). Will have to look into that.
